SILENT 40KWH SYSTEM
Silent off-grid power for a 76km ultra-fun trail run across the Peak District
THE CHALLENGE
Peak Divide needed a power solution that could:
-
Deliver reliable energy in remote off-grid locations
-
Support aid stations that previously had limited or no access to power
-
Enable vendors to operate multiple high-demand appliances simultaneously
-
Reduce noise and disruption within a sensitive natural environment
-
Align with the event's sustainability values
THE SOLUTION
Bluepig became part of the Peak Divide journey from start to finish.
We brought power to the remote aid station at Ladybower Reservoir. By towing the Pig directly to site, Peak Divide was able to offer facilities and support in a location that had previously been difficult to power, improving the experience for runners deep into the route.
Back at camp, it was awesome to supported a number of event partners throughout the weekend. From keeping coffee flowing with Kick Back Coffee to supporting SUMS and powering recovery experiences with Chill Tubs, Bluepig provided the dependable energy needed to help the event village come to life.
Beyond hospitality, the system powered key pieces of event infrastructure, including the inflatable finish-line arch and site-wide Wi-Fi, helping organisers, volunteers and runners stay connected throughout the weekend.
By replacing the need for a traditional diesel generator, Peak Divide gained reliable power exactly where it was needed — without compromising the atmosphere, landscape or experience that makes the event so special.
